The setup & install

Finally get to start working with Unity. Although I am familiar with other programs such as Illustrator and Photoshop, the UI for Unity is definitely more daunting when it comes to sheer complexity.

There is much to learn from all the hidden tabs and options.

Things That I have learnt:

The inspector tab is where everything important is located, from script placement to the physical attributes of the assets within the scene. Everything can be adjusted within the inspector.

The Hierarchy section is like working with layers within illustrator, it shows everything within the scene that can be seen.

Projects are split within “scenes” which to my understanding are like chapters within a novel. Each scene contains elements that can tell the whole story and also flow to other scenes.

Within Scenes you are able to create folders which houses your assets and scripts, this feature is to help keep projects organized. This is especially important if you are working within a team with various focuses within the project.
